What to Expect from a Pelvic Floor and Women’s Health Online Physiotherapy Session

With Dr Anne Stone; Director, Pregnancy Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor & Mother

In a telehealth session with pelvic floor and women’s health physiotherapist Anne, pregnant and postnatal women receive expert guidance from the comfort of their own home. These sessions focus on key areas like pelvic floor muscle training, managing pregnancy-related discomforts, and postpartum recovery.

For pregnant women, we address concerns such as pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, and preparation for labor with exercises and strategies tailored to your needs. Postnatally, we support your recovery by helping you strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles, manage diastasis recti, and guide you through safe exercises to regain core strength. Additionally, you’ll learn techniques to prevent or manage conditions like urinary incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse.

Telehealth sessions also include personalised education on self-care, posture, and safe movement strategies, ensuring that you receive holistic care through your pregnancy and postpartum journey.

You do not need a GP referral for Physiotherapy and you can claim Telehealth on private health insurance, EPC/CDM or NDIS plans if you have Physiotherapy extras.

Anne is masters-level trained in pelvic floor physiotherapy and women’s health from Melbourne University.
